Type of use

Outdoor use unlocks weather-protection options: axis sealing, stainless-steel axis, hoist cover, hoist mooring ring, 120µm C3 paint systems and hot-dip galvanizing.

Height under beam (HUB)

Standard height under beam = 2.5 m. Adjustable in 0.1 m steps up to 4 m; each extra 0.1 m is priced per model. Above 4 m: consult us.

Floor fixation

We strongly recommend one of our anchoring kits; we cannot be held liable for any other attachment system. The cast-in template + anchor rods are embedded in a new concrete foundation; the splitable base plate bolts onto an existing slab of sufficient depth via a chemical-anchor kit.

Chain hoist

Add a manual or electric chain hoist to the quote, or supply your own. The hoist must be operated strictly within the crane's rated SWL.

Electric chain hoist — configuration

Every option in this panel belongs to the GIS GP electric chain hoist bundled with your jib crane. It is produced and invoiced as a separate item; the jib-crane options stay outside this panel.

Electric hoist — intensity of use

How will you use the electric hoist?

Each duty class has its own capacity envelope: the heavier the use, the lower the rated weight, so a heavier class may pull a larger GP sub-model. Selecting a class lighter than your real-world use voids the manufacturer warranty and risks motor failure.

Rotation locking

Mechanical lock to fix the boom in a position.

Beam trolley (manual / own hoist)

Push-travel or hand-chain geared trolley for the I-beam, rated to the crane's capacity.

Hoist power supply (feeding line)

Galvanised rail with flat cable on trolleys that powers an electric chain hoist along the whole span — whether you buy the hoist here or supply your own. The mobile-pendant version adds two separate parallel rails so the 4-button control pendant travels independently of the hoist.

Rotation stops (270°)

Mechanical end stops that limit the boom's 270° swing. Weld-on stops are fixed at assembly; adjustable stops are repositionable and priced by the mounting offset (cote a).

Adjustable bumpers for 2 beam ends (beam width 91-300 mm).

Rotation slowing device

Damper to slow boom swing — installs without welding.

Lockable main switch

Rigging ring

Welded rigging ring under the I-beam for the hoist.

Paint system

Standard finish is 60µm C2 polyester powder, RAL 1028 yellow (included) — suitable for indoor use. For outdoor use pick a 120µm C3 system or hot-dip galvanizing.

Sealing of the axis

Weather sealing of the rotation axis for outdoor service — includes the sealing of the pillar.

Stainless steel axis

Rotation axis in stainless steel; price depends on the axis number of your configuration.

Hoist cover (outdoor protection)

Sheet-metal protection clamped on the beam that shields the hoist from rain. Dimensions are adapted to the hoist.

Hoist mooring ring

Ring welded at the bottom of the pillar to moor the hoist (distinct from the welded ring under the I-beam).

Packaging

Standard packing is shrink film for road transport (not suitable for sea freight). Optional wooden transport support for spans up to 6 m (base plate up to SC08).

Structural calculation note

Optional engineering document (note de calcul) certifying the structural reactions of your specific configuration. Required by some inspectors and insurers when commissioning the crane.

The SDS is a 270° partial-rotation pillar jib crane with an overbraced (triangulated) boom: a self-standing column anchored to the floor, carrying a steel I-beam boom braced from above that swings 270° for wide coverage of a workstation. It is built for both indoor and outdoor use and is manual-slewing only.
