Between a painted truck and a stainless one there is a large middle ground: unheated halls, open sheds, yards, ports and cold rooms where moisture is constant but the truck is not washed down with chemicals every day. A zinc coating over the whole chassis and forks covers exactly that ground at a fraction of the cost of stainless steel.
Zinc-coated chassis
- Galvanized frame and forks resist damp air, rain and road salt far better than paint
- No paint layer to chip on pallet edges and expose bare steel
- Standard 2500 kg chassis: 200 mm lift out of an 85 mm lowered fork height
- ø80 or ø74 mm fork rollers, single or tandem
Where it belongs
- Unheated warehouses, open sheds and loading yards
- Ports, marinas and coastal sites with salty air
- Building material, timber and fertiliser storage
- Chilled rooms and areas with heavy condensation
Galvanized or stainless?
Choose this truck for damp and outdoor use. For daily washdown with detergents and disinfectants, or for direct food contact areas, the stainless version RPV2500NC is the correct choice. Service weight here is 65-80 kg with forks 45 mm thick, 160 mm wide and 1150 or 1220 mm long.

What it is for
- Moving pallets short distances at floor level by hand — loading bays, shops, workshops.
- Occasional use, vehicle unloading, tight spaces.
- Special variants: stainless (food), galvanized (wet/outdoor), scale, low-profile, long/short forks, rough terrain.
This model
Galvanized: wet, outdoor and cold-store use. Capacity options: 2500 kg.
Check before you choose
- Capacity (2 000–5 000 kg) with reserve
- Fork length/width vs. pallet (EUR 1200×800: standard 1150 mm forks; long forks for 2 pallets or long goods)
- Lowered fork height for low pallets
- Wheels: nylon (hard floor), polyurethane (quiet, delicate floors), rubber
- Environment: food/pharma → stainless; wet → galvanized
Not suitable for
- Lifting pallets onto racking or vehicles (max ~200 mm lift) — use a stacker
- Long distances or multi-shift — electric pallet truck
- Gradients/ramps with heavy loads
Before you order Standard selection — the parameters above are enough to choose the right model.
To confirm the right configuration we will ask you:
- Heaviest load including pallet, packaging and any attachment? Rule of thumb: use at most 80 % of rated capacity for safety and service life.
- Pallet type/dimensions (EUR 1200×800, industrial 1200×1000, half, display, custom)? Closed-bottom or low pallets? Entry height? Pallet compatibility matters more than capacity: fork length, overall width, lowered height and pallet underside.
- What is the floor: industrial concrete, asphalt, paving, gravel, uneven, potholes, sharp edges, expansion joints, thresholds, drains? Small polyurethane wheels and no suspension: tolerance for unevenness is very low. Sharp edges cut the PU tread; gaps stop the small load rollers.
- Distance per trip, trips per day, ramps? A hand truck is for short level moves; pushing 2 t up a ramp is unsafe.
Typical mistakes to avoid
- Pallet compatibility is more important than capacity — check entry height and pallet underside.
