Order Pickers
Electric Low Level Order Picker (NKV10/NKV12) 1000-1200 kg
Electric High Level Order Picker (VKV15) 1500 kg 5000-9000 mm

Electric Middle Level Order Picker (OPS15-BD) 1500 kg 4500-5500 mm
How to choose
What it is for
- Picking individual items or cartons from shelves — low level (floor to 2nd level) or high level (man-up).
- E-commerce, spare parts, retail distribution.
Check before you choose
- Picking height
- Load capacity of platform/forks
- Aisle width
- Battery and shifts
Not suitable for
- Full-pallet stacking
What we will ask you before recommending a model
Order picker (low / middle / high level) Technical check — we confirm a few parameters and compatibility with you before the order.
- Picking height: highest shelf; does the operator rise with the load? First determine the picking level, then capacity.
- Mass of goods/pallet per round; picks per hour; forks or platform; container type?
- Aisle width between racks and the narrowest passage / door? Every truck has a stacking-aisle width (Ast). Compare with Ast, not with the truck width.
- What is the floor: industrial concrete, asphalt, paving, gravel, uneven, potholes, sharp edges, expansion joints, thresholds, drains? Small polyurethane wheels and no suspension: tolerance for unevenness is very low. Sharp edges cut the PU tread; gaps stop the small load rollers.
- Are there gradients (ramps, slopes) in the working area? How steep (%) and how long (m)? Pedestrian and stand-on trucks are designed for level floors; motor, brakes and drive-wheel traction are sized for occasional short ramps. On a long or steep slope they overheat, lose traction or cannot hold the load.
- How long must the truck run continuously, how many hours per day and shifts? Pallets per hour, distance per trip? Battery capacity and truck class follow from this. Most buyers under-specify on price and end up with a truck that stops mid-shift.
Typical mistakes to avoid
- Determine the picking level first, then capacity; high-level machines depend on floor, protective systems and procedures.

How to choose an order picker
Order picking is piece-work, not pallet-work — and an order picker is built exactly for that: the operator travels with the load platform, picks items directly at the shelf and moves on, instead of climbing ladders or lowering whole pallets. Selection comes down to picking height, load per tour and travel distances. At floor level, low-level pickers NKV10/NKV12 (1000–1200 kg) and the central-rider NKV30-P (3000 kg) speed up first-level picking tours.
For picking at height the ladder starts with the mini order picker MKV (up to 4225 mm) and the semi-electric PEKV400 / electric EKV400 (400 kg, 3500–4500 mm), and tops out with the high-level VKV15 (1500 kg, 5000–9000 mm). If your process moves full pallets rather than pieces, look at reach trucks and electric stackers instead. Contact us with your shelf heights, aisle widths and picking volumes and we will recommend the right machine.
Frequently asked questions
Low-level or high-level order picker?
If most picks happen on the first or second level, a low-level picker with a large platform moves the most goods per tour. Once picking reaches shelves above roughly 3 m, a machine that raises the operator — MKV, EKV400 or VKV15 — replaces ladders and pallet lowering.
What heights and capacities do order pickers cover?
Low-level models carry 1000–3000 kg at floor level; elevating models range from the MKV (90–150 kg at up to 4225 mm) through the EKV400 class (400 kg, 3500–4500 mm) to the VKV15 (1500 kg, 5000–9000 mm). Match both the picking height and the weight per tour.
What safety equipment does an elevating order picker need?
The operator works on a guarded elevating platform with a harness anchor point where required; the machine interlocks travel and lift according to its documentation. Aisle and floor requirements are stated per model — send us your rack layout and we will check the fit.
