Electric Stackers with Initial Lift

Electric stackers with initial lift for double-pallet transport and handling on ramps, docks and uneven floors.
4 products

How to choose

What it is for

  1. Stacker whose support legs lift too — cross ramps, dock levellers and uneven floors while stacking to racking.
  2. Truck unloading plus put-away with one machine.

Check before you choose

  • Initial lift height vs. ramp/threshold
  • Capacity at height
  • Walkie vs. rider

Not suitable for

  • Closed-bottom pallets (legs go under the pallet)

What we will ask you before recommending a model

Electric stacker with initial lift Technical check — we confirm a few parameters and compatibility with you before the order.
  1. Why initial lift: thresholds/ramps, dock levellers, double pallets, uneven floor? Height the support legs must lift? Initial lift solves ramp breaks and thresholds; it is not a substitute for sufficient ground clearance or a proper ramp.
  2. Heaviest load including pallet, packaging and any attachment? Rule of thumb: use at most 80 % of rated capacity for safety and service life.
  3. Dimensions (L×W×H) of the largest and of the heaviest load? Is the centre of gravity known and centred? The load centre moves away from the mast as the load gets longer; real capacity falls with load-centre distance and lift height (capacity diagram). Tall loads raise the COG.
  4. Is the load always on a EUR pallet (open bottom)? Or CHEP / closed-bottom / plastic pallets, boxes, or goods placed directly on the forks? Dimensions of the pallet underside? Forks with support legs underneath need an open-bottom pallet. Goods without a pallet load the forks at points and bend them. Pallet compatibility matters more than capacity.
  5. How high must the load be lifted — top rack beam, vehicle bed, machine table? How many rack levels? Capacity at maximum height is much lower than nominal (residual capacity). Customers know 'the rack', not millimetres — ask them to measure the top beam.
  6. Lowest passage in the working area (doors, beams, pipes, mezzanine, container, lift)? Ceiling height where stacking happens? Lowered mast height must pass every obstacle; extended mast must fit under ceiling, lighting and sprinklers.
  7. Aisle width between racks and the narrowest passage / door? Every truck has a stacking-aisle width (Ast). Compare with Ast, not with the truck width.
  8. Are there gradients (ramps, slopes) in the working area? How steep (%) and how long (m)? Pedestrian and stand-on trucks are designed for level floors; motor, brakes and drive-wheel traction are sized for occasional short ramps. On a long or steep slope they overheat, lose traction or cannot hold the load.
  9. How long must the truck run continuously, how many hours per day and shifts? Pallets per hour, distance per trip? Battery capacity and truck class follow from this. Most buyers under-specify on price and end up with a truck that stops mid-shift.

Typical mistakes to avoid

  • Initial lift solves specific obstacles but does not replace ground clearance or a proper ramp.

Electric stackers with initial lift

The initial lift raises the stacker's own support arms, which unlocks two abilities a standard stacker lacks: carrying two pallets at once (one on the forks, one on the raised arms) and keeping ground clearance on ramps, docks and uneven floors. The range covers the EVV15-I (1500 kg, up to 5600 mm) and its rider version EVV15-IP, plus the economical EVV10B-I/EVV12B-I and compact ESV10-I/ESV12-I.

If you never move two pallets or cross ramps, a standard full-electric stacker does the same stacking for less; for closed pallets see counterbalanced models. Contact us and we will confirm which variant fits your flow.

Frequently asked questions

What does the initial lift actually do?

It raises the support arms (with the chassis) by roughly a decimetre — enough to carry a second pallet on the arms, clear dock plates and ramps, and roll over floor irregularities that stop a standard stacker.

When does double-pallet transport pay off?

On shuttle runs between goods-in and storage: two pallets per trip halves the runs. The stacker must be rated for the combined weight — check the model's combined capacity in its documentation.

How quickly can an initial-lift stacker be delivered?

Request a quote on the product page with mast height and battery preference and we will confirm the current lead time and delivery for your location.
