How will you use this hoist?
Pick the closest match. Each duty class has its own capacity envelope: the heavier the use, the lower the rated weight. Selecting a class lighter than your real-world use voids the manufacturer warranty and risks motor failure. If unsure, pick the highest expected class — the hoist you actually need.
Save your configuration
Get a shareable link, email the PDF to yourself, and we will save the configuration on our side. We confirm your e-mail address with a short code before anything is sent.
Reset configuration?
All option selections (duty class, capacity, lift speed, trolley, options…) will return to their defaults. Your current quantity and delivery address will be kept. This cannot be undone.

The GIS GPR is the corrosion-resistant model of the proven GIS GP electric chain hoist, purpose-built for applications where impeccable cleanliness or aggressive surroundings rule out a standard hoist: food, beverage and pharmaceutical production, cleaning rooms, chemical plants, wastewater treatment and outdoor or salt-water environments. Lubricants comply with NSF H1 for incidental food contact.
Key features
- All parts in the load thread in corrosion-resistant design: stainless round-steel load chain, clamping piece, bottom block, chain guide, load hook, hook/eyebolt suspension and screws
- Aluminium housing and end stop with cathodic dip-paint (KTL) coating — resistant to water, oils, weak alkalis and acids, no colour spalling
- Food-compatible gear grease (NSF H1) as standard; food-compatible chain lubricating oil available as an option
- Protection class IP65, insulation class F
- Capacities 125–1250 kg: GPR 500 up to 630 kg, GPR 1000 up to 1250 kg (2 falls, duty class A4/M4) — rated values are reduced versus the standard GP chain hoists because the stainless chain has lower strength values
- Duty classes A4/M4 and A5/M5 (ISO 4301-1 / FEM); frequency-inverter (FU) soft-start version available as an option
- 1-phase 230 V versions available (GPR 500 all profiles, GPR 1000 as slow-speed /NL)
- Manual (GHFR) or motorised (GMFR) trolley in corrosion-resistant design available
- Complies with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC

What it is for
- Electric hoist for repeated lifting at workstations, on jib/gantry cranes and monorails.
- Production lines, assembly, maintenance with frequent cycles.
- Machine building integration.
This model
Capacity options: 125 kg, 160 kg, 250 kg, 320 kg, 500 kg, 630 kg, 1000 kg, 1250 kg. Lift heights: 3 m, 4 m, 5 m, 6 m, 7 m, 8 m, 10 m, 12 m.
Check before you choose
- WLL and duty class for the real cycle rate
- Lift height and hook path
- Speed and dual-speed for fine positioning
- Trolley (manual/electric) and beam profile
- Voltage and control (42 V low-voltage pendant, radio)
- Environment: dust, moisture, temperature
Not suitable for
- Pallets on the floor
- Explosive atmospheres — use pneumatic ATEX hoists
- Outdoor without protection class
Before you order Technical check — we confirm a few parameters and compatibility with you before the order.
To confirm the right configuration we will ask you:
- Which aggressive environment: salt, humidity, chemicals (name, concentration), temperature, washdown regime, indoor/outdoor? 'Corrosion-resistant' is not resistance to every chemical.
- Heaviest load and how often per hour / per day? Duty class (FEM/ISO) must match the cycle rate or the hoist overheats and wears fast. WLL alone never decides the model.
- Lift height (hook path) and headroom available between beam/hook and the load? Chain length must cover the hook path; hoist + trolley + hook height must fit the headroom, measured on the whole assembly.
- Is there a certified suspension point: beam, jib crane, gantry, runway? Beam profile (IPE/HEA/HEB) and flange width/thickness? Without a suspension point the hoist cannot be used; the trolley must fit the flange and the beam must carry the load.
- Power available: 3×400 V, 230 V, frequency; or compressed air (pressure and flow at the hoist)? Decides electric vs. pneumatic; single-phase limits capacity; air pressure at the compressor is not pressure at the hoist.
Typical mistakes to avoid
- Corrosion-resistant ≠ resistant to all chemicals — ask for the real atmosphere and cleaning regime.
