How will you use the electric hoist?
Each duty class has its own capacity envelope: the heavier the use, the lower the rated weight, so a heavier class may pull a larger GP sub-model. Selecting a class lighter than your real-world use voids the manufacturer warranty and risks motor failure.

To confirm the right configuration we will ask you:
- Load weight including hoist, trolley and attachments; heaviest lift? Crane capacity must cover hoist + trolley + load. Do not size by WLL alone.
- Span, mounting height, required hook height, slewing angle (usually 180°)? Geometry of the working zone.
- Wall or column: material, geometry, reinforcement, existing installations? Can the structure take the bending moment? Wall/column capacity must never be assumed.
- Required hook height and hall height / obstacles (lights, pipes, doors, sprinklers)? Hook height = clearance − crane − trolley − hoist headroom − hook.
- Cycles per hour, hours per day; manual or motorised slewing / travel? Heavy or frequent loads are hard to slew by hand; duty defines hoist class.
Typical mistakes to avoid
- Wall/column capacity must not be assumed — a structural check of the supporting structure and reaction forces is required.
