GIS entertainment chain hoist (LP series)
Swiss rigging power for stage and event technology
The GIS LP electric chain hoist was developed specifically for the entertainment industry: touring productions, theatres, TV studios, concert halls and event venues. With its low dead weight and compact black housing it disappears into the rig — while the 3-stage drive with helical gearing keeps it remarkably quiet during show operation.
Stationary or climbing — without modification
The LP can be used stationary or as a climbing hoist without any conversion, which makes truss work fast and safe. A second brake can be factory-fitted or retrofitted without extending the housing, and the hoist is available with direct control or contactor control to match your controller setup.
Built for touring
The KTL coating guarantees corrosion resistance and good mechanical protection on the road, and protection class IP65 allows outdoor use at festivals and open-air stages.

Capacities depend on the required chain safety factor, speed version and number of falls — the full matrices are in the technical data sheet 9500.9111.1. Extra-quiet LPL versions (LPML250 / LPL500 / LPL1000) are available for theatre use: up to 2000 kg as D8, up to 1250 kg as D8 Plus and up to 1000 kg as C1. Lifting speeds up to 32 m/min at 50 Hz, protection class IP65, direct or contactor control, stationary or climbing use without modification.
