Type of use

Outdoor use unlocks weather-protection options: hoist covers, slewing motor cover, hoist mooring ring, 120 µm C3 paint systems and hot-dip galvanizing. Motorization on the main roller (friction drive) is for indoor service.

Slewing motorization

Manual slewing as standard. Powered slewing on the main roller is for indoor use; top-mounted motorization is for outdoor use. Motorized cranes drop the manual rotation locks / slowing device.

Height under beam (HUB)

Standard height under beam = 3 m. Adjustable in 0.1 m steps up to 4 m; each extra 0.1 m is priced per model. Above 4 m: consult us.

Floor fixation

We strongly recommend one of our anchoring kits; we cannot be held liable for any other attachment system. The cast-in template + anchor rods are embedded in a new concrete foundation; the splitable base plate bolts onto an existing slab of sufficient depth via a chemical-anchor kit.

Chain hoist

Add a manual or electric chain hoist to the quote, or supply your own. The hoist must be operated strictly within the crane's rated SWL.

Mechanical lock to fix the boom in a position.

Beam trolley (manual / own hoist)

Push-travel or hand-chain geared trolley for the I-beam, rated to the crane's capacity. Cranes above 5000 kg take a trolley on request.

Hoist power supply (feeding line)

Galvanised rail with flat cable on trolleys that powers an electric chain hoist along the whole span — whether you buy the hoist here or supply your own. The mobile-pendant version adds two separate parallel rails so the 4-button control pendant travels independently of the hoist.

The mobile Télémécanique control pendant ships with 4 buttons (up/down + travel) as standard.

Rotation stops

Hard stops limiting boom rotation, e.g. to keep the boom clear of a building structure. On a motorized crane, rotation stops must be combined with the slewing limit switch (below) — otherwise the motor drive is unprotected and the risk is not covered by the user manual or the warranty. A motorized crane WITHOUT rotation stops rotates endlessly and requires the electrical collector instead (added automatically below).

Slewing limit switch

Electric limit switch that stops the slewing drive before the boom reaches the rotation stops, protecting the motorization. Required whenever a motorized crane is fitted with rotation stops — without it the risk is not covered by the user manual or the warranty.

Electrical collector (unlimited rotation)

4-ring collector feeding power through the rotating head, so the crane can rotate endlessly without twisting cables. Pick the amperage matching the hoist power. Mandatory on a motorized crane without rotation stops — with unlimited rotation every cable crossing the slewing head would otherwise wind up and shear.

Adjustable bumpers for 2 beam ends (beam width 91-300 mm).

Rotation slowing device

Damper to slow boom swing — installs without welding.

Lockable main switch

Lockable main switch under enclosure. 20 A (recessed) is the standard choice; 32 A / 50 A suit higher-power electric hoists (e.g. a chain hoist you source elsewhere).

Weather cover for the lockable main switch (outdoor use).

Hoist mooring ring

Welded at the bottom of the pillar for immobilising the boom arm (e.g. mooring the crane out of service outdoors).

Hoist cover (outdoor protection)

Sheet-metal protection clamped on the beam that shields the hoist from rain. Dimensions are adapted to the hoist.

Cover for the slewing motor

Weather cover for the slewing motorization. Not necessary with the 3-side hoist cover, which already protects the slewing head.

Paint system

Standard finish is 60 µm C2 polyester powder, RAL 1028 yellow (included) — suitable for indoor use. For outdoor use pick a 120 µm C3 system or hot-dip galvanizing.

Packaging

Standard packing is shrink film for road transport (not suitable for sea freight).

Structural calculation note

Optional engineering document (note de calcul) certifying the structural reactions of your specific configuration. Required by some inspectors and insurers when commissioning the crane.

The RSD is a full-rotation pillar jib crane: a self-standing column anchored to the floor, carrying an underbraced steel I-beam boom that swings a full 360° for complete circular coverage of a workstation. It is built for both indoor and outdoor use and is offered across a wide capacity and span range.
